Happy Third Birthday to Me!

Today I celebrated my third birthday with a Monkey-themed party.

Mommy went a little ape with the decorations.

There's an episode of "Curious George" (my favorite show) where George paints a room in Mr. Glass's apartment building to look like a jungle. So, when my friends arrived, we finger painted on the wall.

While my friends painted, I preferred dancing to the music.

From left to right: Will, Brayden, Drew, David, Ben, Lucy and Carson.

Then, Daddy set up the target he'd made for my first birthday and we threw water balloons at it.

Daddy taught us how to "ambush" the target by each having our hands filled with water balloons and charging to the target while screaming. So now I call the game "a bush". It was fun.

It was very hot outside so we went back in to play a Curious George game like Pin the tail on the donkey (not pictured) and "Banana Toss" where you try to ring a grocery cart with bananas. That's my friend Drew getting ready to toss the banana.

While my friends played the banana toss, I preferred playing my keyboard. (You might notice that daddy is pretty wet from the water balloon game. He's wearing one of two monkey shirts he owns. It says, "Who Flung Poo".)

Next it was time for lunch. "Monkey Tails" (Hot dogs) were served. That's my playgroup friend David next to me.

Mommy made my monkey cake.
Next it was time for PRESENTS. By this point in the party, I'm getting a little overwhelmed. But, now that the party is over, I sure am having fun playing with my new games! (And watching the video daddy made of the party over and over.)

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!"
PS -- I'd like to give a shout out to my neighbor Keeli Mullican who could not be at my party because she is in China bringing home her newly adopted sister. And another shout out to my friend Caroline who lives in Florida. A special thank you to Lucy for being my token girl guest!
